The yoga instructor intones,
Sitting on the floor, touch your toe, now lower your head toward your knee.
Do you feel the stretch in your spine?
Good, now just relax into the stretch, breathe normally!
It takes all the will power I have to hold the position for 30-seconds. Relax is hardly the word I would use! And yet, isn’t that what stretching is all about? I mean about stretching oneself into a new career and a new way of being.
If one can breathe normally in the new stretch, one has become the change that was envisioned.
